Over the last seven years Johnson and Son Bikeworks has grown into a full fledged bike shop located in the back yard, of a house on a dead end road in a town of less than 1000 people. We’ve done this through our relationships with our customers and word of mouth. Our vision is to support and expand the number of people in our community who choose cycling for transportation and recreation. Here are some of the ways we do that:
We welcome all bikes that need repair. We take the time required to help people find the bike that will best serve their needs. We only sell things that we know are of good/high quality. We do high quality work. We work with our community, local schools and nonprofit organizations to grow cycling as a means of transportation and recreation.

What’s new for 2017?
– More new and used bikes for sale. We’ve increased our overall new bicycle inventory to over 100 bikes, 60 assembled and on display. We are stocking more mountain bikes and expanding into kid’s bikes as well as a number of different “drop bar” road categories.
-In the fall of 2016 we completed construction of a 30’x40′ building that stores and displays 160 used bicycles bringing used bikes for sale up to 200+.
-With the opening of Slate Valley Trails, Endless Brook Mountain Trail system in Poultney, Vermont., we decided to expand our rental fleet to include mountain bike
-To meet the growth of the shop, we’ve hired Laura B. as a mechanic, salesperson and educator.
Thanks everyone for making this shop successful going into year 7.
